Class of 2022 Graduation

On June 5, 2022, we celebrated the Class of 2022 with a Commencement Ceremony at Graham Field. We were blessed with blue skies and reasonable temperatures. We were also graced by the presence of Bishop Donald Clay, the Founder of Imani Christian Academy. For those in attendance, it was a moving and inspiring occasion. I want to thank the many people who, through their loving labor, made the commencement possible.

First, thank you to the graduates, Isaac, Xavier, Jalen, Taylor, Amari, Malik and Darrel. Your contributions to the event made us proud. From dancing the “gritty” to giving speeches your joy was palpable.

Thank you to Mr. Miller, Ms. Phillips, Mr. McCormick, Ms. Gasperin, Coach Simon, and Ms. Stein for doing everything from printing documents to ordering supplies, managing field logistics and a thousand tasks in between. Thank you to Mr. Kelley for driving the van, moving materials and equipment and generally doing whatever needed to be done with logistics.

Thank you to Mr. JD Koch, Mr. Hoffman, Ms. Buchbinder, Ms. Gasperin, Mr. Burnett, Mr. Allen, Ms. Jade, and Pastor Coleman. It was wonderful to see you there lending the support of your presence to students, taking photographs, and staying on to help with post event logistics.

Thank you to Angelique Strothers and Nicole Wesley whose voices lifted our collective praise. Your singing was uplifting. Thank you to our board members, David Berardinelli and Dr. Larry Stratton for joining us in the celebration, and of course, to Marlin Woods who gave a tremendous, crowd rousing commencement address.

It was a wonderful day to for all involved. God has blessed us again.

In Christ,

Paulo Nzambi
