Students participate in Pittsburgh I.C.E
Pittsburgh I.C.E. (Inclusion Creates Equality) has touched the lives of many boys and girls in the Pittsburgh area. Each hockey season, the opportunity to play ice hockey is provided to children who might never have the opportunity to play or experience such a great game.
The program was established in October 2000 with the support of the Pittsburgh Penguins and its Alumni Association. As part of the National Hockey League’s “Hockey is for Everyone” initiative, Pittsburgh I.C.E. provides boys and girls in the Pittsburgh area the opportunity to learn to skate and play ice hockey at no cost.
For the past three seasons, our students have had the opportunity to experience this great game, as well as learn important life skills, teamwork and sportsmanship.
