Admissions at Imani Christian Academy will run through the second grading period of the academic year. This generally occurs through the middle of January of the current school year.
Re-Enrollment Admission will begin on March. Parents will have the opportunity to enroll during the entire month.
New Family Admission will begin in April. New Families may apply through July 15th of the upcoming school year. Although we have rolling admission through the second grading period, in order to be accepted for any type of financial assistance the parent must apply before July 15th.
All returning families must pay a non-refundable deposit of $175.00. This will be deducted from the cost of the yearly tuition.
All new families must pay a non-refundable deposit of $250.00. This will be deducted from the cost of the yearly tuition.
Admission to Imani will be considered for students entering Kindergarten through Eleventh grade. If a candidate is an incoming senior he/she will be interviewed by the Headmaster. If accepted, the candidate will then meet with the Developmental Center Staff or School Mom and follow the normal enrollment process.

Two interviews will be conducted by the Developmental Center Staff, School Mom, or a member of the Administration with both the parents and the candidate present. When scheduling the interview, administration will ask the parent/guardian to bring with them a copy of the childs current report card or transcript.
First Interview During the first interview the following topics will be discussed and completed:
- Who we are-The Model/Mission Statement
- Relationship with God-student and parents
- Discipline at Imani Christian Academy
- Tuition/monthly payment/contract/PSAS/deposit
- Student Application- to be completed during the interview
- Tour
After the interview, the parents are prayed for. A determination will be made by the Developmental Center Staff or School Mom within five days of the interview. If accepted, the parent will be called and given a date and time for the second interview. They will also be asked to bring in all necessary forms for completing the financial aid application, a check or money order for the application, social security numbers, birth certificate, and address of the former school if applicable. If it is a kindergarten student, the parent must also bring the immunization record.
If the candidate is not accepted, the parent will receive a letter of non-admittance in 3-5 days. Second Interview The Developmental Center Staff or School Mom will meet with the parents and the candidate and congratulate them again on their acceptance to Imani. They will receive a parent handbook and complete the following forms:
- Application Packet
- Release of Records Request
- Transportation Form
- Emergency Contact Information
- Discipline Policy
Private School Aid Service (PSAS) If the parent is applying for financial assistance they will need to bring the following along with a check or money order for the application fee of $19.00 (as of February 2007):
- Copy of the current, signed, Federal Income Tax Form including all schedules
- W-2 Forms
- 1099 Forms
- Social Security Disability Payments
- Pennsylvania State Tax Return (PA-40) or Utility Bill showing Proof of Residency
- Proof of Section 8 Monthly Rent
- Monthly Mortgage Payment, approximate remaining balance
The parents will be given a school calendar, discuss the lunch program, uniform policy and the schools hours of operation.
During this interview, the parents will also meet with the Administrator. He/she will assist in completing any financial aid information, discuss the deposit and date it is due. The financial aid application will be mailed from the school once completed. This process takes approximately three weeks. Once the financial aid award has been determined, the parents will be notified and asked to come in to sign the tuition contract.
DEPOSIT UPON ADMITTANCE OF A NEW STUDENT THE PARENT MUST PAY A $250.00 NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT WITHIN 15 DAYS FROM THE SECOND INTERVIEW.
